Girls Going Global was founded in 2012 with a mission to empower underserved girls 13-17 through travel and cultural exchange to become global citizens and change agents. We strive to increase the ability of girls of color to compete in the global economy through access to cultural competency education, travel and leadership training experiences. Our unique global engagement curriculum provides the framework for underserved girls to achieve academic excellence, global competency, and empowers them to become thoughtful and compassionate global leaders. Girls Going Global inspires take action on critical issues facing their communities and our world.

Since our founding GGG has provided mentorship, educational travel experiences, and competency training to more than 1,000 girls ranging in age from 13-17 and representing more than 10 states. Travel camps have included locations such as Canada, Costa Rica, Italy, Peru, and Ghana, where participants engage in cultural exchange seminars, community service, and socio-emotional skill building activities. GGG has awarded over 500 passports and more than 50 GGG Ambassadors have trained to provide mentorship and coaching to global girls across the United States.
