Imagine getting accepted to your dream school but realizing you cannot afford to furnish your dorm room. Sure, you received scholarships to offset the costs of tuition, room and board and most of your fees (there are a lot of fees) but not your bedding, bathroom needs, desk space items and more! You and your family can barely get you to and from college and pay for food and incidentals. You want to fit in and have a nice home away from home, like everyone else does. Well, Dorm Fairies wants to make that dream dorm room a reality!

At Dorm Fairies, our mission is to ease that burden so students can focus on their education and their future.

My family and I started this organization to help college freshmen receive the dorm essentials they need to begin their journey with confidence. Many students struggle with hidden college costs, and something as simple as bedding, supplies, or basic dorm items can become a financial burden.

Right now, we have a chance to make an even bigger impact. Dorm Fairies is a participant in the spring 2026 Mockingbird Incubator. This awesome program helps nonprofit like ours become more sustainable and grow. The Mockingbird Incubator will match $500 for the top two fundraising campaigns in our cohort.
