This Lenten season, The Food Bank, Inc. invites individuals, families, church and community groups to participate in its first annual "Give Up to Give Back" campaign - transforming personal sacrifice into meaningful support for neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Traditionally part of the high church calendar, Lent is a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving (giving money, food, or goods to the poor) during the 40-day period leading up to Easter. Today, many people, religious or not, choose to use this season as a period of self-reflection and personal challenge leading towards personal growth.

The Food Bank, Inc. challenges YOU to change one small habit - a daily coffee or donut, frequent dining out, or paying for the streaming channel you rarely watch - and donate the money saved to support our mission of eliminating hunger in the communities we serve.
