The Global Soccer Experience is an international soccer and cultural activation connecting San Antonio, Germany, youth development, matchday culture, and community collaboration through the power of the beautiful game.

Featuring involvement connected to SV Darmstadt 98 of Germany’s Bundesliga 2, the activation brings together global soccer influence, youth engagement, community gathering, and global matchday atmosphere into one unified community experience in San Antonio.

As part of SV Darmstadt 98’s commitment to community engagement through soccer, participation in the Global Soccer Experience is being offered free of charge as a community giveback initiative locally powered and coordinated through Goal Impact Foundation in collaboration with Texas Lutheran University Men’s Soccer and Mainland Sports Complex.

The featured International Youth Soccer Experience from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM CT is specifically designed for girls and boys ages 10–12 and is limited to 40 total participants. The environment is intentionally designed to create an inclusive, energetic, and community-centered experience that encourages confidence, creativity, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and passion for the game.

Training sessions are influenced by SV Darmstadt 98 methodology and delivered by the Texas Lutheran University Men’s Soccer coaching staff as part of a purposeful partnership connecting global soccer culture, youth development, and community engagement. Participating youth players will also receive official SV Darmstadt 98 training shirts sponsored by Craft Sportswear USA as part of the player experience.

Beyond the youth training experience, families, supporters, and community members are invited to enjoy the broader matchday atmosphere throughout the day, including the Matchday BBQ Social and a live communal viewing experience surrounding Germany vs Curaçao. The activation is designed to celebrate soccer’s ability to connect cultures, generations, and communities through shared experiences rooted in the global game.

From the Opening Gathering through the Farewells, the Global Soccer Experience is intended to create meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange, community connection, and shared celebration through soccer in one of the world’s most diverse and passionate soccer communities.
