The devastating Turkey/Syria earthquakes in February 2023 resulted in unfathomable losses among Syrian and Turkish communities and incredible needs for survivors.

Since day one, A Global Voice for Autism has been working with local partners on the ground to address the urgent needs of these communities, specifically children with developmental disabilities and their families. We invite you to join us for a benefit dinner to support the needs of these children and families. 100% of proceeds from the event will support these families through our Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund.

When: Friday, March 24th at 7pm

Tickets are $50/person and include an all-you-can-eat Mediterranean buffet dinner. Purchase your tickets online by Tuesday, March 21st.

"More than a month after the earthquake. We are still facing many challenges. My three children all have disabilities and need emotional and psychological support. Nutrition has also been a major challenge in our area in Gaziantep because life has seemingly stopped here, and shockingly, after all these catastrophes, inflation increased, so since the earthquake we have had a hard time purchasing nutritional necessities. My autistic child is having the hardest time. All of my kids need support and therapy, but he needs the most attention because he doesn’t understand what happened. Other than A Global Voice for Autism, I have not heard of any help for families of children with disabilities."

"My daughter doesn't sleep at night anymore. Just when I get her to sleep, she wakes up screaming and crying. It's hard because she is on the autism spectrum. Before the earthquake, I generally understood what she wanted because we had our routine. That is all gone now. Our house is gone. Our life is gone. I'm trying to give my children a sense of normalcy, but it's difficult when even I don't know what our future holds. My daughter has allergies and we need food that is safe for her. We need psychological support. All I want is for my children to be happy again."

"I had three children before the earthquake, but my wife and two sons were killed when our building collapsed, so I only have one child left. We're both injured and we've been in the hospital since the earthquake. When we leave, we have nowhere to go. We are refugees in Turkey and we don't have family here. My son doesn't speak. Before the earthquake, he used a tablet with pictures on it to talk to his mother and I. He lost the tablet and he lost his mother, but he can't tell me how he's feeling because we don't have money for a new one. My son needs his voice back."

Türkiye ve Suriye’de yaşanan deprem felaketinden etkilenen ailelere yardım sağlamak için Global Bistro’da düzenlenecek olan akşam yemeğinde siz de A Global Voice for Autism’e katılın.

Şubat 2023’de Suriye ve Türkiye’de yaşanan yıkıcı depremler, Türk ve Suriye halkında çok büyük kayıplara neden olarak depremzedeler için olağanüstü ihtiyaçlar ortaya çıkardı.

A Global Voice for Autism, bölge halklarının, özellikle de gelişim yetersizliğine sahip çocuklar ve ebeveynlerinin acil ihtiyaçlarını belirlemek için yerel ekiplerle birlikte ilk günden beri saha çalışmalarına devam etmektedir. Sizleri, bu çocukların ve ailelerinin ihtiyaçlarına destek olabilmek adına düzenlenen yardım yemeği için bize katılmaya davet ediyoruz. Etkinlikten elde edilecek gelirlerin tamamı, Deprem Acil Yardım Fonumuz aracılığıyla bu ailelere yardım sağlayacaktır.
