It's March, and as the flowers are blooming and the weather is warming up, all of our residents have one thing on their minds.... all things GREEN(S) 🥬! Though they haven't been known to publicly celebrate March Madness, we imagine they would like to get in on the team spirit! So we are asking you, our dedicated community of supporters, for your help!

$15 buys ALL of our GLRS bunnies breakfast for the day!
$45 feeds the farm for a day (buns, pigs, and goats!)
$100 feeds one of our bunnies for six months!
$200 feeds one of our bunnies for a YEAR!
$300 feeds the farm (all of our greens-eating residents) for a week!

Whoever raises the most funds for this Greens campaign by 11:59pm on 3/31/26 will win a vegan catered dinner at GLRS and a private tour of the Sanctuary with our President, Kate Przybylo! Your gift helps bunnies who have been with us for a day, or buns who have been with us their entire lives. Oleander is an incredibly sweet boy bun who was born at GLRS. He has known nothing but love and safety at GLRS, but we can't wait for the day that he finds his forever family. In the meantime, he needs to eat his greens!

Since 1995 Great Lakes Rabbit Sanctuary (GLRS) has provided a safe haven for abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. We rescue rabbits from across Michigan and, when able, from other parts of the United States as well. Upon their arrival at GLRS, the rabbits are given medical care if needed and are spayed or neutered, after which they are ready to meet their potential adopters! GLRS is a no-kill facility. Those rabbits who are not eligible for adoption, either due to health or temperament, live out their lives peacefully at the sanctuary.

In addition to providing a safe and loving environment, GLRS also strives to educate the public about domestic rabbits, including rabbit care and behavior. Just as with cats and dogs, a rabbit may not be the best furry companion for a family. Our hope is that our educational efforts will mean fewer rabbits needing our help in the future.
