Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim is our Honoree. We thank Ed for Putting Recovery to Work in Smithtown and for his advocacy throughout Suffolk and Long Island.

Our Inspiration:

After his success in sustained recovery from substance use disorder, Gino Macchio was called home as a result of a motorcycle accident on May 4, 2018. Inspired by Gino's example in helping others combat substance use disorder, the Gino Macchio Foundation was born to carry on Gino's legacy.

GMF is a not-for-profit organization that provides scholarships to those who are trying hard to right the ship and be productive members of society. Each scholarship is tailored to the needs of the individual and is designed to remove any barriers to attaining and maintaining employment.

We are so glad you can join with us to support this ambitious initiative and help those at a time in their lives when they need it the most.
