Golden Hour: A Night of Hope

The Evelyn Balash Foundation was created from a journey no family ever expects to face.

At just 2½ years old, Evelyn was diagnosed with leukemia. What followed was a life-changing experience filled with uncertainty, fear, strength, and resilience. Through it all, one thing became clear—no family should have to navigate childhood cancer alone.

That realization is what led to the creation of this foundation.

The Evelyn Balash Foundation exists to provide emotional support, community, and, as we grow, financial assistance to families facing pediatric cancer. We are building a space where families feel seen, supported, and never alone in their journey.

Golden Hour: A Night of Hope is our first annual event, held during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September in the Hudson Valley.

This event is more than just a fundraiser—it is the beginning of something bigger.
