Bringing the Conversation to Spokane

What happens when boys and young men begin to feel disconnected from the people, institutions, and communities around them? And what can we do, together, to ensure they have the relationships, opportunities, and sense of belonging they need to thrive?

MENTOR Washington is proud to partner with the Washington Initiative for Boys & Men to bring Gone Guys to Spokane for a community screening and conversation.

Gone Guys creates an opportunity to examine some of the challenges facing boys and young men today while moving the conversation toward something equally important: what communities can do about it.

For MENTOR Washington, that conversation is deeply connected to mentorship. Caring relationships, trusted adults, strong programs, and communities where young people know they belong can all play a role in helping young men navigate challenges and imagine what is possible for their lives.

The screening will be followed by a community panel that brings the conversation closer to home, creating space to hear local perspectives, share experiences, and explore how we can strengthen support for boys and young men throughout the Spokane region.
