Grace Little Tree Books — Where Kindness Takes Root
Some stories feel like a warm blanket.
They don’t rush.
They don’t shout.
They simply sit beside a child and whisper, “You are safe here.”
Grace Little Tree Books was created to grow those kinds of stories.
Stories that soothe.
Stories that spark wonder.
Stories that teach kindness without preaching.
Stories that help children feel brave, loved, and understood.
Our motto is simple:
Where kindness takes root.
We believe kindness can be planted, nurtured, and grown — and that books are one of the most powerful ways to do that.
With your help, we’re launching Grace Little Tree Books, a nonprofit children’s publishing house devoted to creating and sharing gentle, heartfelt stories for children ages 0–12.
What We’re Building
Grace Little Tree Books is more than a publisher.
Grace Little Tree Books is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting early literacy by creating and distributing engaging children’s books to schools, libraries, and community programs.
Why Early Literacy Matters:
Research shows that children who develop strong reading skills early are far more likely to succeed academically and socially throughout their lives. Early access to engaging books strengthens language development, confidence, and emotional understanding. Yet many children still lack consistent access to books that make reading feel welcoming, comforting, and exciting.
Grace Little Tree Books works to bridge that gap.
Many children struggle to develop strong reading habits early in life due to limited access to engaging books and positive reading experiences. Early literacy is essential for language development, confidence, and academic success. Without access to meaningful stories and supportive reading environments, children may miss critical opportunities to develop a lifelong love of reading.
We are building a home for stories that:
• Help children feel emotionally safe
• Encourage empathy and compassion
• Spark imagination and wonder
• Celebrate strength and gentleness
• Nurture confidence, courage, and personal growth
Our First Stories:

Programs and Activities:
Grace Little Tree Books develops and publishes original children’s stories designed to nurture empathy, confidence, imagination, and kindness. The organization distributes books to schools, libraries, and community programs while also developing literacy-focused events such as story time sessions, reading programs, and future writing workshops that encourage children to explore their own creativity and voice.
In addition to publishing original children’s books, Grace Little Tree Books is committed to free book distribution to schools, libraries, and community programs, helping ensure that children have access to comforting, meaningful stories wherever they learn and grow.
As the organization expands, we also plan to offer reading and writing workshops, story time events, and creative programs that invite children to explore storytelling, self-expression, and a lifelong love of reading.

In the years ahead, we envision expanding free book access across Washington State, deepening partnerships with schools and libraries, and growing creative literacy programs that help children feel confident, capable, and inspired through storytelling.
By nurturing both literacy and emotional growth, Grace Little Tree Books seeks to create stories that children return to again and again — stories that feel like home.
Our Starting Goal: $25,000
This campaign will allow us to officially launch Grace Little Tree Books and begin placing stories into little hands and hearts.
With this support, we will be able to:
• Print and distribute our first gentle storybooks
• Finalize illustrations and layouts
• Build our website and donor systems
• Launch community outreach programs
• Cover essential startup operations
• Sustain full-time leadership for the organization
Every dollar helps kindness take root.
Funding will directly support book production and distribution, increasing access to reading materials for young children. The program is designed to reach hundreds to thousands of children, with a focus on building confidence, curiosity, and early literacy skills.
We believe when children fall in love with reading early, it can influence and create opportunities for a lifetime. Through storytelling, book access, and literacy programs, Grace Little Tree Books aims to grow a future where every child has a story that feels like home.
