Color Park is a free public art and legal graffiti space on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail in the Southside - built for the local community to showcase their art, express themselves, all while enjoying beautiful views of the river. Color Park is one of three legal graffiti spaces in Pittsburgh (joined by the Spirit Graffiti walls and the Clement Way Graffiti wall at Trace Brewery).

Join us for this upcoming event where all are welcome to paint, gather, and celebrate the DIY arts and entertainment community in our region. This space is for the community, led by the community of artists and creators in our city, and is a space for you to express yourself and showcase your art. Color Park is also a space of temporary and transient art- the canvas of Color Park is always changing every day.

With your support, we plan to host an incredible 3 day long Graffiti Jam and Open Paint Celebration where you are welcome to come paint with your friends and family. The final day of the event, Saturday September 21st from 3pm - 7pm, will be the main event- featuring free paint for the community, showcasing new walls and mural spaces installed, featuring 6-7 local artists completing new works, and we're bringing in food trucks, a live DJ and other fun surprises to make an epic event that will elevate the experience of Color Park for all.

All donations from this campaign will entirely go towards the Graffiti Jam and Open Paint. Your donation will:

Support the work of local artists and bring high caliber work at Color Park.
Support local musicians, performers, and entertainers coming to the park.
Providing ample free paint and sidewalk chalk so that anyone can experience what its like to paint at Color Park.
Promote Color Park as a free space for self-expression and a valuable community asset for all.
Help to ensure the park is kept safe and clean.

What: Graffiti Jam and Free Open Paint

Where: Color Park on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail in the Southside- Pittsburgh, Pa

When: Thursday September 19^th - 21^st are community open paint days.

Saturday September 21st, 2024 is the main event featuring: free paint, sidewalk chalk, food trucks, DJ and Afterparty at Sly Fox at the Highline.

Time: 3pm - 7pm , Afterparty 7pm - Midnight at: Sly Fox Brewing Co Outdoor Patio at the Highline

Cost: FREE (donations appreciated!)

7 new mural walls are being installed for larger works, murals, names, and more.
6-7 featured local graffiti and mural artists will paint larger works at the park.
Come by anytime during the 3 day event to catch live artists painting.
Free paint and sidewalk chalk will be available and provided to the community of all-ages to paint the park on the main event day- Saturday, September 21st from 3-7pm.
Music provided by DJ Dope Ugly
Food and beverage trucks and vendors will be available for the public to purchase food and drink:
- El Colibri's Mexican Street Food and Drinks
- Hummus Pittsburgh's Mediterranean Delights
- Beatnik Sweet Eats' Treats, Cookies, and Cake-pops
- All food and drink vendors will offer vegan and gluten-free items on their menus.
Don't miss the Official Afterparty with DJ Cosmic Drip spinning afterward at the Sly Fox Brewing Co outdoor Patio at the Highline from 7pm-11pm.
