Grapefruit Lab creates original performance work on Denver's stages and facilitates arts- and humanities-based programs in Colorado's prisons with ACT Ensemble.

And we LOVE Denver! So we're going to spend a weekend walking and running around Denver to raise money for our work--we're creating new shows and generating new collaborations. We are in the prison system every weekend, prepping plays and workshops and delivering creative family visitation events.

Exercise is hard. And fun. And hard. But we want to keep investing in our relationships and our wellness. Support us! It'll make all the difference as we pound the pavement of Colfax and beyond...

We are humans first, and art is essential to our humanity. We strive for a more just and humane world, embracing the queerness in human experience – where collaborative art is an ongoing practice of radical community and collective healing. Performance is an embodied process for imagining, exploring, and deepening our humanity.

Grapefruit Lab is an old collaboration, bringing together the combined vision and multimedia experience of Julie Rada, Kenny Storms, and Miriam Suzanne.

Yoko Ono’s quip that a grapefruit is the hybrid of a lemon and an orange encapsulates our goal of combining highly-aesthetic, compelling artistic work with a process of creating alongside communities in ways that matter.
