About This Year's Behavioral Health Convening

Last October, more than 90 families, providers, educators, healthcare professionals, and community leaders and families came together for the Coös Coalition for Young Children & Families' first Behavioral Health Convening. Through data, lived experience, and powerful storytelling, we asked an important question:

What do children and families in our region need to support non-clinical behavioral health and well-being?

The answer was clear. Families told us they need stronger connections and a sense of belonging, easier access to supports, and systems that work together, not in silos. They reminded us that behavioral health is about more than clinical services. It's about relationships, belonging, prevention, and communities that help families thrive.

Those conversations didn't end when the convening did.

Over the past year, the Coalition's Non-Clinical Behavioral Health Steering Committee has been working alongside families and community partners to turn those ideas into action. Together, we've strengthened partnerships, launched and leaned into local initiatives, and continued building a more coordinated system of support for children and families across Coös County.

This year's convening... Growing Your Village: Connecting Families for Strengthened Communities, is an opportunity to celebrate that progress while continuing the work together.

Throughout the day, participants will:

Hear inspiring stories of individuals and organizations building stronger villages of support.
Connect with families, educators, healthcare providers, community organizations, funders, and local leaders to better get to know the people in our neighborhoods and communities.
Discover resources and partnerships that strengthen behavioral health and well-being through collaborative conversations.
