EDUCATION

The old isn’t working; we need something fresh and unique. Enter award-winning video game designer Luc Bernard’s “The Light in the Darkness” which tells a moving story of a family of Polish Jews caught up in the Holocaust in France. With over 1.5 million players completing the game, “Light in the Darkness” has been translated into Arabic and French and currently being incorporated into the Los Angeles public school system.

PROTECTION

GSD focuses on proactive approaches to safety and security with training in: situational awareness, threat detection, de-escalation, Krav Maga, scenario-based risks, emergency first aid and more. GSD trains 200+ students every week in 7 classes at 4 locations across the U.S. Students pay to train with GSD.

COMMUNITY

Our connection to one another is everything. The GSD community galvanized on 10/7 with our beloved Project Tkooma and Mini-Mitzvahs campaign has given much needed respite to thousands with our “BBQ & Blessings” program. GSD continues to ideate and operate in unique ways to bring us all together.

SCALING UP

GSD recently launched our training center in midtown NYC. We are seeking funds to develop community patrols, purchase training equipment, offer scholarships, increase our research capabilities and more to deter the rise of antisemitic activity and walk with confidence as Jews.
