But- we love him!

Tony will be running 26.2 miles each day from September 1st through September 7th. The last 3.1 miles of his 7th marathon will be at the Race 4 Freedom 5K!

Coach Tony is at it again!

Tony believes "runners make the best friends" and he's been a wonderful friend to ICT SOS and Race 4 Freedom. He'll be tracking the miles he runs all year. There are a couple of ways you can play along!

1. Guess the number of miles.

Running For A Cause is starting the fourth year of raising support and awareness for ICT SOS to end human trafficking. However, our challenge for 2024 will be different from previous years. Will there be a raffle? Yes. Will there be running? Yes. Will there be a request for your participation and donation? Yes. So, what, you may ask, is the difference?

The challenge will be for all of YOU.

Introducing “Guess The Miles”!
Tony will be running all year (through December 21 st , 2024). How far? Well, that’s YOUR guess. When you buy a raffle ticket (as many as you want) you well get to make a guess as to the number of miles he will run. Tony will post each run he completes them for you to see. The catch? You will not be able to count the miles from the post to see how close you get to the total
mileage. There will be one, two, or as many as three posts that will only be seen by ICT SOS. You won’t know how many miles he has covered, which could make your guess even harder.

Another challenge is tickets will be going on sale as of January 1, 2024. ICT SOS will have a complete listing of all guesses (total miles) and you will not be able to make the same guess as someone else. If you want to guess 2,357 miles, that guess is yours and no one else will be allowed to have that same number. So, you may want to buy your tickets and make your guess
earlier rather than later. (Food for thought; over the last 12 years, Tony has averaged 4,284 miles per year). Remember though, unlike the last three years, there is no set number of miles for him to run.

Tickets are $10 each or 15 for $100. Each ticket gets you one guess and your guess will be recorded and locked in so no one else can have that guess!

As for the prizes/raffles, if anyone guesses the correct miles, you will have first choice of all the raffles prizes (only one). If no one guesses correctly, tickets will be drawn for each prize. The prizes as of 1/1/2024 include:
 1-day/2-night stay at the Sheraton Hotel in Crown Center, Kansas City with $50
 $50 gift card to Texas Roadhouse
 Sport Clips Gift Basket (minimum of $50 value)
 Hallmark Gift Basket (minimum $50 value)

Tony will be doing several running events throughout the year that we understand have a few long runs involved. You are more than welcome to come out and run with him any day or at any event.

2. Pledge an amount per mile.

10 cents a mile, a dollar a mile, whatever feels good! Your mileage payments can be paid at the end or broken up monthly. (You'll make your year-end guess with your pledge and be locked in!) Tony will be "Running for a Cause " to raise funds and awareness for the fight against trafficking and exploitation. His support is so meaningful to the work of ICT SOS. Funds raised will support prevention education for middle and high school students, training for professionals, advocacy and therapy for survivors as well as Fresh Start bags for victims in crisis.
