Woody's Place Senior German Shepherd Sanctuary is thrilled to announce the development of a new, home-like, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to transforming the lives of homeless senior German Shepherds. This innovative sanctuary will be a safe haven for older German Shepherds in need, regardless of age or health limitations.

The new sanctuary will feature thoughtfully designed spaces tailored to the unique needs of senior German Shepherds. Each area will prioritize comfort, community, and accessibility, ensuring residents thrive in a nurturing environment during their golden years.

Key amenities will include spacious indoor and outdoor areas, complete with covered outdoor spaces to shield against harsh weather. Specialized features such as non-slip flooring, canine wheelchair accessibility, cozy resting spots, a professional grooming station, and a designated indoor exercise zone, including hydrotherapy, will enhance the well-being of our canine residents.

Our dedicated staff will implement personalized care plans focused on health monitoring, physical therapy, quality food, and social interaction. Additionally, engaging in activities tailored to each dog’s abilities will foster mental stimulation, inclusion, and companionship.

Since our founding in 2009 and registration as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2012, Woody's Place has successfully supported countless homeless senior German Shepherds nationwide. However, we have outgrown our current space and are limited in our ability to expand our mission and continue to serve our chosen population, of which there is no shortage.

We invite you to contribute to our capital campaign goal of $250,000 for this new sanctuary. Your support will allow us to continue providing shelter and love to these deserving dogs in their twilight years.
