Reptile Cove is a woman-owned reptile education company based in Southern Pennsylvania that opened January 2020. Our mission is to teach everyone about various species of reptiles and how wonderful they can be! We want to change the negative perceptions that people can have about reptiles and we hope to continue to do that through offering hands-on experiences.

Currently, Reptile Cove is a home-based business that can only provide traveling educational displays and talks at birthday parties, schools and events as weather permits. This means people loose out on a lot of opportunities to experience what we offer. People also only get the chance to see a small amount of the reptiles that call Reptile Cove home. We want to change this! We want to open Reptile Cove to the public, but we can only do this buy purchasing a facility.

How will Reptile Cove use the donations they receive?

Reptile Cove will take all donations and put them towards expanding our business to reach more people. If Reptile Cove reaches our goal of $20,000. Funds can be used for the following expenses:

Purchasing a creating a reptile bus.
Finding, renting, or inspecting a facility.
Permits, zoning or applications needed for opening Reptile Cove as a reptile experience.
Supplies for fixing or creating a facility.
Professionals needed to do any work in order for a facility to open.
Insurance, reptile supplies, and other necessary bills or utilities.
Unknown other expenses discovered while opening a facility.

Opening a reptile facility will be a lot of work and can take time. We will post updates on this campaign as we raise funds and can move forward with this plan.
