The Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health (ACCJH) is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of justice-involved populations through research, education, and advocacy. Every year, we bring together health professionals, researchers, policymakers, and people with lived experience to share knowledge and drive solutions that make a real difference.

ACCJH was launched in 2012 and became a member organization in 2014. Today, we represent 10 founding institutions and continue to grow, with our annual conference attracting more than 400 attendees from across the United States and beyond — including speakers and participants from 3 countries and over 130 institutions.

Now, we are at a pivotal moment in our evolution: ACCJH is preparing to become an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Until now, we’ve been supported by a fiscal sponsor, which has allowed us to build a strong foundation. But as we step into independence, we must secure the resources that will sustain our work and strengthen our capacity for the future.

This transition is about more than structure — it’s about ensuring that our mission endures.
