Family Christian Health Center (FCHC) in Harvey, Illinois, has been a cornerstone of community healthcare since its founding in April 2000 by a group of dedicated physicians, including Dr. Lisa Green. Their mission was to address the lack of medical services in underserved areas by providing compassionate, comprehensive care to all, regardless of ability to pay .

Over the years, FCHC has expanded its services and facilities to meet the growing needs of the community. Notably, in 2021, they opened a 5,200-square-foot Maternal Child Health & Wellness Center in Harvey, offering a range of services including OB/GYN care, pediatric services, behavioral health, and more .

To support and further these initiatives, FCHC launched a $500,000 fundraising campaign to enhance their facilities and expand access to care to a holistic Wellness Center. This campaign is part of their broader effort to bridge healthcare gaps and continue providing essential services to the community.
