🧡 The Story — Why This Mission Matters

In Puerto Rico, there are hundreds of thousands of stray dogs — called “satos” — living without food, shelter, or medical care. Most have never seen a vet and face a life of hunger, disease, injury, and abandonment.

At Save The Satos, we believe every dog deserves a chance at love, safety, and a forever home. That’s why we’re launching our Spring Rescue Mission, a focused effort to go back into the field in Puerto Rico to:

📍 Rescue dogs from streets and dumping grounds
Many dogs roam in painful conditions — injured, sick, or alone with no one to help them.
🩺 Provide vital spay/neuter and vaccinations
Without intervention, one unspayed female and her offspring can produce tens of thousands of puppies over a few years, fueling endless suffering. Spay/neuter care stops overpopulation at the source.
🍲 Feed at-risk street dogs and support local caregivers
Volunteers who feed feeding colonies need food, supplies, and tools to keep dogs alive day-to-day.
✈️ Transport adoptable dogs to safety
Once medically cleared and socialized, we bring as many dogs as space allows back to New Jersey — where they receive loving foster care and find forever homes.
