Cowboy Summer Camp

The Oklahoma Cowboys Cowboy Summer Camp provides a free, week-long educational enrichment experience for forty lower-income children in Oklahoma City ages 6–13. Hosted by The Oklahoma Cowboys Foundation, the camp focuses on health, personal development, equestrian skills, and outdoor/nature experiences. Its goal is to help children build confidence, independence, leadership, social skills, and physical fitness, while inspiring a lasting interest in equestrianism and showing them opportunities beyond their everyday environment.

From June 8–12, 2026, campers engage in hands-on cowboy activities, including grooming, feeding, and riding horses, as well as beginner rodeo skills like roping and barrel racing. Campers also learn 4H skills, handling and caring for show animals such as goats, sheep, and calves. Each day includes games, arts and crafts, and time with the farm zoo to make learning fun and age-friendly.

Camp runs daily from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with free breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided. On Friday, campers celebrate a week of learning with a fun field trip to OKANA Water Park for a full day of water activities.
