Founded by Bonnie Brown and Saralyn Fountain in 1990, Stepping Stones a private, special needs day school in Griffin, Georgia. The mission of the school is the same as it was upon its founding 33 years ago: to provide educational and intervention services for as many special needs children as possible in and effort to maximize potential.

Located about an hour south of Atlanta, GA, Stepping Stones serves students aging in range from six weeks to fourteen, from seven surrounding counties. Stepping Stones hosts two distinctive programs: a reverse inclusion preschool and the Academy at Stepping Stones. Our reverse inclusion preschool is the only one of its kind in the area: students of all abilities work side by side to help promote inclusion and empathy while promoting scaffolding and early intervention. The Academy at Stepping Stones serves neurodivergent and impaired students ages 5 though 14.
