Hi!
This summer I am having my Bat Mitzvah. Part of becoming a Bat Mitzvah is doing a "Mitzvah Project". A Mitzvah Project is when you go out in your community and help support a cause you are passionate about. It also represents Tikkun Olam, the Jewish value of repairing the world. For my project I choose to raise money for the Easterseals Massachusetts Chapter, specifically the Bridge Center. The Bridge Center does many things for people with disabilities, one of which is sports programs. I choose to fundraise for the Bridge Center sports program because sports are a huge part of my life. As many of you know, I am a black belt in karate and karate is a huge part of my life and means a lot to me. I also have had friends with disabilities that have hugely benefitted from adaptive sports programs. I think it is really cool that Easterseals has these programs for people of all ages and abilities to be able to do the sport they love.
