For Bennett and Sloane Harbison, running has always been about more than just miles—it’s about the journey they take together. This year, they are lacing up for their most meaningful finish line yet.

They are running to support Operation Uniquecorn, a nonprofit dedicated to a cause close to many hearts but often unseen: assisting children with invisible disabilities and their families.

Why We’re Running

Invisible disabilities—such as autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and chronic illnesses—don’t always come with a mobility aid or a physical sign. Yet, for the children living with them, the world can feel like an uphill marathon every single day.

Operation Uniquecorn provides the "magic" these families need, offering:

Specialized equipment and sensory tools.
Financial assistance for therapies not covered by insurance.
Community support to ensure no child feels like they have to navigate their challenges alone.

Bennett and Sloane believe that while these children face hurdles the world cannot see, they should also feel a support system they can always lean on.

"We see the strength in these kids every day," says Sloane. "Running this race is our way of showing them that we are in their corner, stride for stride.
