We grew up together as classmates but in the face of terribly harsh conditions and worsening famine, we have committed to a project we call Hand in Hand. We, Abdullah and Hamouda, take pride in leading this project, providing food, water, and basic necessities—items that mean the difference between life and death to everyone in the Khan Younis camps where we live.

We are especially committed to getting water trucks to come where it’s easier for people to access them without having to walk long distances. Each truck carries 9000 liters of water and costs $600. This water is essential with so many people suffering from extreme hunger.

Our project is not merely a temporary charity; it is a bridge connecting the hearts of those who wish to give with the real needs of people on the ground. We strive to ensure that every meal, every drop of water, reaches the people, with complete honesty and transparency. Every step we take, every effort we make, stems from our deep belief that human solidarity is the force that keeps communities united even in the harshest circumstances.

Through our daily efforts, we affirm that every extended hand of generosity and every heart full of compassion can plant hope in the lives of those who have lost it. We work everyday to ensure that everyone living in the camps feels that someone stands beside them, offering support in the darkest times.

Together, Hand in Hand, we can alleviate suffering, sow hope, and build bridges of humanity in the heart of Gaza.
