Our personal goal is $1,500, and with matching funds our campaign has the potential to raise $3,000 for Hands4Hope!
🌴Help! We Got Mr. Palm Stranded on a Jungle Island!🌴
We thought bringing Mr. Palm along for a Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference adventure would be a great idea.
We were wrong.
Our two Oak Ridge Hands4Hope clubs decided to put our leadership and teamwork skills to the test with a little Jungle Island service project. The assignment seemed simple: collect supplies, clean up a section of the island, and make it back to the boat before sunset.
We completed the project.
We demonstrated teamwork.
We developed leadership skills.
We did not make it back to the boat.
Now Mr. Palm and several of our student leaders are stranded somewhere in the middle of a Jungle Island.
Mr. Palm keeps asking where we’re going.
We keep telling him we have a plan.
We do not have a plan.
Our phones are useless, our supplies are disappearing, and we’re pretty sure we’ve passed the same tree at least three times.
So now we need to put those leadership and problem-solving skills to work - and we need your help getting our entire team home!
We’re raising funds to “rescue” Mr. Palm and our student leaders from Jungle Island, but the money raised through our campaign has a very real purpose: supporting our Hands4Hope clubs right here at Oak Ridge High School.
And while we’re hoping you’ll help rescue us, there’s a very real reason Mr. Palm agreed to get stranded with us in the first place.

And that’s exactly what our Oak Ridge Hands4Hope clubs are about. Through Hands4Hope, we get opportunities to recognize needs in our community, take action, work together, and grow as leaders through service.
Even better, funds raised through our Rescue Bail campaign will help support Hands4Hope, creating more opportunities for students to lead, serve, and make a difference.
