A Pledge For Life: Zeta Anti-Hazing Certification Hosted by the Beta Omega Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated & Harbor Institute

Join the Beta Omega Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and Harbor Institute for an engaging and informative Anti-Hazing Certification Experience featuring Attorney Rasheed Ali Cromwell.

This workshop is an opportunity to learn, engage in meaningful dialogue, and strengthen our collective commitment to creating organizations and communities where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and care.

Finer Women Don’t Haze

As women committed to the ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, we recognize that hazing has no place in an organization built upon principles of scholarship, service, sisterhood, and community.

Finer Women Don’t Haze represents a commitment to choosing respect over humiliation, mentorship over intimidation, and genuine sisterhood over practices that can cause physical, emotional, or psychological harm. Being a finer woman means understanding that membership and sisterhood should never require an individual to endure degrading, dangerous, or abusive behavior.

The message “Finer Women Don’t Haze” encourages us to recognize hazing for what it is, challenge harmful traditions and misconceptions, and create a culture where members are welcomed, supported, educated, and valued. "Pass the Torch, Not The Trauma"

Why Anti-Hazing Awareness Matters

Hazing can have serious physical, emotional, psychological, and social consequences. It can also undermine the very values of leadership, service, scholarship, sisterhood, and personal development that organizations seek to promote.

Anti-hazing awareness empowers individuals to:

Recognize behaviors and activities that may constitute hazing.
Understand the potential consequences of hazing.
Challenge the idea that hazing is a necessary part of membership or tradition.
Speak up when they witness concerning behavior.
Support individuals who may be experiencing hazing.
Promote healthy, respectful, and inclusive approaches to building bonds and developing leaders.

Preventing hazing is a shared responsibility. It requires education, open communication, personal courage, organizational accountability, and a willingness to put the safety and well-being of others first.

Lead Facilitator: Rasheed Ali Cromwell

Rasheed Ali Cromwell will lead participants through a thought-provoking discussion focused on hazing awareness, prevention, accountability, organizational culture, and the responsibility each person has to help create safer environments.

This workshop is designed to encourage participants to look beyond what may be considered “tradition” and examine how our actions can either strengthen or undermine the values we claim to uphold.

We invite you to join us for this important conversation as we continue to promote education, awareness, prevention, and accountability.
