THE FOOD IS IN THE FIELDS!

Maine farmers have fresh produce ready to harvest right NOW and there is an opportunity to purchase this surplus harvest and put it to work feeding our neighbors.

Farmers want their harvest to feed people, but getting that food from the field to the table takes real time, labor, and resources—which is where FFE comes in.

We need to RAISE THE FUNDS to purchase the food while it’s available—and act quickly before this harvest opportunity passes.

OUR GOAL: $10,000 IN 7 DAYS!

Monday, September 28 - Sunday, October 4

That’s thousands of pounds of fresh produce purchased from Maine farmers today and preserved to help feed our Maine neighbors throughout the winter.

$50 → 50 pounds → 90 meals
$500 → 550 pounds → 900 meals
$1,000 → 1,100 pounds → 1,800 meals
$5,000 → 5,500 pounds → 9,000 meals

Once harvested, Farms for Food Equity can get this fresh produce to our distribution partners with the capacity to process and freeze food for the Maine winter.

That means this summer’s abundance can become frozen vegetables, prepared meals, and other nutritious food available to our neighbors long after the growing season ends.

The surplus is out there.

The farmers are ready.

Our distribution partners have the capacity.

WE JUST NEED THE FUNDS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!
