I’m reaching out to share why Healing 2Gether is raising support right now—and why this work feels especially urgent.

According to the Zipdo Education Report, more than 75% of nonprofit workers experience burnout, with nonprofit leaders hit the hardest, yet fewer than half feel supported with their mental health. Nonprofits serving marginalized communities report burnout rates about 20% higher than average, exposing a deep gap in worker well-being. At the same time, Gallup reported over 40% of K-12 educators report frequent burnout with a clear gap between genders. SHRM reports racialized workplace stress impacts Black workers at higher rates, contributing to anxiety, disengagement, and turnover.

Community leaders, especially Black and Brown leaders, are rarely given the space, permission, or support to prioritize their own health and healing. Many of us are doing deeply relational, justice-centered work while carrying unacknowledged wounds, navigating constant urgency, and caring for others at great personal cost. Healing is often treated as a luxury, not a necessity.

Healing 2Gether exists to disrupt that pattern.

Our bodies continue to carry emotional, mental, and psychological burdens shaped by systems and social constructs that force us into cycles of survival over healing. Too often, resilience is expected to look like silence. Trauma is internalized, needs are suppressed, harm is projected—often onto those closest to us—and struggle is endured alone under the false belief that this is what strength and competence requires. This is dehumanizing, and it is especially prevalent among leaders engaged in transformative work.

What We Do

Healing 2Gether creates intentional, collective spaces where leaders can slow down, feel what has been held in their bodies, and move toward healing together—not through an individual therapy lens, but through a framework that recognizes the social, political, and historical forces shaping how leaders are expected to work, live, and exist.

Our approach is rooted in restorative and trauma-informed practices, aligned with the values of 2-THRIVE ([www.2thrive.org](http://www.2thrive.org)), and centers accountability, dignity, belonging, and collective care.

We do this by:

Facilitating community healing gatherings and restorative circles
Providing trauma-informed coaching and identity-conscious facilitation
Leading healing-centered retreats focused on restoration and connection
Developing programming that interrupts burnout and harmful cycles
