Heroes wanted! What can you do for a child battling cancer?

TAKE THE CHALLENGE- Get started in 3 easy steps!

1. CREATE your page to join the challenge! Sign up now (at no cost) by selecting the "Fundraising" option and set a fundraising goal and tell your story supporters why you are fundraising. We all have our WHY!

2. SHARE with your community. Tell your community about your goal to support children with cancer! Again, share your WHY. The more you tell everyone about your commitment to reach your fundraising goal, the more awareness for childhood cancer you help spread. We will send you the social media tools you need.

3. GO!!! Zumba, run, bike, work out or create your own unique challenge or fundraiser! Starting now through the month of September, you can get right to work.

BE MOTIVATED- With three years being the average length of cancer treatment for their child, most families fight crippling debt. A diagnosis of childhood cancer has a destructive impact on the emotional health and well-being of the whole family, both during and after treatment. The exorbitant costs of having a child undergoing comprehensive cancer treatment affect a family’s access to income for basic and secondary needs. The average cost associated with childhood cancer in 2018 was $833,000 for one child for medical costs and lost parental wages.

Our MISSION is to help families, fund research, and raise awareness for DIPG and pediatric cancer. Gabriella’s Smile Foundation provides families with the necessary resources during the most critical times. No family should fight cancer alone. We are STRONGER than cancer, and we are STRONGER together.

This September we are raising funds to continue providing vital and critical services to local families battling cancer in our San Antonio community.

BE INSPIRED- We want to challenge you to be a hero for kids fighting cancer. Create your own unique fundraiser and raise funds for the Children's Cancer Support Center. You can create your own 30 mile challenge like Lydia Gokool did in 2021 and raised over $3,000 for childhood cancer awareness month. She challenged herself to walk one mile a day and asked family and friends to donate for her cause. What started as a $200 fundraiser, quickly became a big success!

You can do your own walk challenge, start a bake sale, set up a lemonade stand, host a garage sale, or any other type of athletic challenge! The possibilities are endless.
