Fountain Heights’ first market in 70 years is almost done!

We’ve made MAJOR progress on Heart of the Farm, future home of a Neighborhood Market Cooperative and Community Kitchen Fountain Heights. This space will increase access to fresh, local food in a USDA-defined food desert and create new opportunities for our neighbors to earn, grow, and thrive.

Like many building projects today, we’re feeling the squeeze of rising construction costs. Since we first began fundraising, inflation has pushed prices up significantly. Now that we’ve broken ground and construction is underway, we’re facing a $300,000 funding gap.

Without closing this gap, we can’t finish the full build-out—limiting the functionality of the space and impacting our ability to deliver on our mission.
