Fourteen WONDERFUL dogs are sadly heartworm positive and living at the rescue in Florida. Since New York State does not allow us to transport heartworm positive dogs into the state, their chance at being adopted is slim. Heartworm can take up to 2 years to treat, but we have the opportunity to utilize a "fast-kill" method, helping the dogs to test heartworm negative FASTER! (check out Jack and Sally's success story below!)

The downside? Each treatment averages to about $500 per dog. This is where we need YOU! Can you open your hearts to donate to the heartworm funds of these sweet dogs? The faster we can treat them, the faster they can be adopted in New York.
