Recovery begins with hope—and sometimes, hope begins with having a safe place to start over.

At Hector Reyes House (HRH), people arrive seeking a new path forward after experiencing substance use, housing instability, trauma, and other life challenges. Many of the individuals we serve come from communities that have historically faced barriers to accessing culturally responsive and language-accessible treatment and recovery services. Hector Reyes House was created to provide a place where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and the belief that lasting recovery is possible.

As a residential recovery program operated by the Latin American Health Alliance (LAHA), Hector Reyes House offers a supportive environment where residents can focus on healing, personal growth, and rebuilding their lives. Through recovery support services, life-skills development, counseling, case management, and community connection, individuals are empowered to move beyond survival and toward stability and independence. As residents progress through the program, they work toward goals related to employment, housing, wellness, and long-term recovery.

Recovery is about more than overcoming substance use—it is about restoring confidence, reconnecting with loved ones, finding purpose, and creating opportunities for a brighter future. Through partnerships across LAHA programs, including workforce development opportunities at Café Reyes, residents can gain valuable job skills and experience that support long-term success and self-sufficiency.

Former residents often remain connected through alumni activities and ongoing support, serving as living examples that recovery is achievable and sustainable.
