Axion Seed is a new interactive light sculpture by ArtBuilds exploring the moment self-awareness begins.

Beams of light emerge from the center of the sculpture and scatter across mirrored surfaces that frame the space. As the reflections bounce outward and return again, they weave a shifting web of light within a mirrored pentagonal boundary.

Within this moving web of reflections, the sculpture expresses a simple idea: self-awareness begins when what we send out into the world returns and reveals its effect.

We are currently building Axion Seed for Burning Man 2026, where visitors will be able to step inside this evolving network of mirrors and light.

Contributions of any size helps fund the mirrors, lasers, structure, and precision mechanics needed to bring the installation to life.
