Bernie the Bear — Explorer of Imagination & Champion of Kindness

Bernie is more than a friendly face — he’s an Explorer of Imagination, always leading the way toward creativity, compassion, and connection. Dressed in his signature purple explorer vest and round glasses, Bernie wears special badges that represent the values he believes in most: chivalry, wayfinding, generosity, imagination, and being a friend to all.

Wherever Bernie goes, he encourages kids and families to:

Bernie the Bear stands as a symbol of what Rice Family Community Events is all about: bringing joy, imagination, and meaningful experiences to families—together.

And our goal to bring bernie to life is almost there! We are creating this campaign to raise the necessary funds to finish the long process of bringing bernie from our imagination to you all to be a champion in the community and provide free meet and greets and hospital visits for our community!
