Support Middletown and Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol

Help us raise $4,500 by October 31 toward the remaining costs of our next two productions.

Middletown opens October 23, and Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol begins rehearsals this month for performances in December. We have part of the funding in place, and we’re asking our community to help cover the remaining expenses.

What your gift will help pay for

Bringing these two shows to the stage means paying for:

Venue rentals for rehearsals and performances
Artist stipends for actors, directors, and stage managers
Performance rights to produce the plays
Props and set pieces
Costumes and accessories
Production materials and supplies
Printed audience programs
Marketing collateral, including posters, flyers, and other promotional materials
Theatre insurance

Venue rentals, artist stipends, programs, and remaining performance rights alone total approximately $9,500, with the other expenses above adding to that amount.

We currently have approximately $4,600 available and expect another $1,300 this month through ongoing giving and our coffee fundraiser with US Digital. That support covers a substantial portion of the costs.

Our goal is to raise an additional $4,500 to help close the remaining funding gap, including the production materials and operating expenses these shows require. Some costs are still being finalized, so this goal reflects our current estimates.

Why your support matters

Your generosity helps us provide stipends for our artists, keep tickets at $15, and offer complimentary admission through our pay-it-forward program. We want people to experience live theatre regardless of their financial circumstances.

Both productions are part of our Love Your Neighbor season. Middletown explores ordinary life and our need for connection, with a partnership supporting NAMI Southwest Washington. Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol brings a funny, imaginative, and moving story of redemption and second chances to the stage.

Your gift helps bring these stories to our community and supports the people working to tell them.

Give by October 31

Would you make a one-time gift toward our $4,500 goal? Every amount helps. If you’re able to give $100, $250, $500, or more, your generosity can make a substantial difference in covering these expenses.

You can also become a monthly supporter to help sustain affordable, accessible theatre throughout the year.
