Afro-Latino culture is a powerful part of the Latino story, yet our history, voices, and contributions are too often overlooked. Cimarrones USA wants to help change that.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, we are working to bring Afro-Latino Heritage Festival Atlanta — Raíces y Resistencia to our community: a celebration created to honor Afro-Latino culture, heritage, identity, and the generations whose stories continue to shape who we are today.

Our vision is to create a welcoming space where families and community members can come together to celebrate, learn, connect, and feel represented through Afro-Latino culture. We hope to bring the festival to life through music and dance, art, cultural education, storytelling, food, children's activities, local vendors, and opportunities to highlight Afro-Latino artists, entrepreneurs, and community voices.
