Bubba was just a tiny puppy when he was found unresponsive on the side of the road, suffering from devastating injuries consistent with severe blunt-force trauma. Both of his back legs were fractured, including a serious fracture through the growth plate of his right leg and significant damage to his femoral head.

We rescued Bubba from the shelter’s urgent list and promised this sweet little boy we would give him every chance he deserved.

After weeks of casts and healing, we now know the next step: Bubba needs FHO surgery (femoral head excision) to repair the damage to his hip and give him the best chance at a comfortable, pain-free life.

His surgical estimate is up to approximately $3,000, and Green Dog Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit. Every dollar donated goes toward helping dogs like Bubba receive the medical care they need.

Despite everything he has endured, Bubba is one of the happiest, sweetest, most affectionate puppies you could ever meet. He doesn't know how close he came to losing his life.

He only knows that now he's loved. ❤️
