Flourish Anyway has the opportunity to host a booth at the Pear Blossom Festival this year, and we are excited about the chance to share our mission with the community.

Flourish Anyway supports women in recovery from substance and behavioral addiction by creating spaces where women can connect, talk openly, and support one another as they rebuild their lives.

Our gatherings take place in a community classroom that the Housing Authority of Jackson County has graciously allowed us to use. One of the things that makes this space so special is the large adjoining playroom. This allows children to come with their caregivers and be included in the healing process their families are a part of.

For many women in recovery, childcare can be a major barrier to attending support groups. This space helps remove that barrier so mothers and caregivers don’t have to choose between their recovery and caring for their families. They can stay connected to their children while also having the opportunity to focus on their own healing.

Flourish Anyway also focuses on an important gap that is often overlooked in recovery spaces: women’s hormonal health. Hormones, stress, sleep, and nutrition can all play a major role in mood, cravings, and overall well-being, yet these conversations rarely happen in traditional recovery settings. We create space for women to talk about these topics openly so they can better understand their bodies and support their long-term recovery.

Having a booth at the Pear Blossom Festival will allow us to share this work with the wider community and connect with women who may not know that support like this exists.

Donations will help cover the vendor booth fee, event insurance, informational materials, and simple outreach supplies so we can introduce Flourish Anyway and connect more women in recovery with support.
