Ways to Help the Krieger Family

The outpouring of love and support for Ben, Bryce, and Bridget has been overwhelming and deeply appreciated. As the family begins navigating the days and months ahead, there will be several meaningful ways for the community to continue surrounding them with care.

Participate in the 5K
In honor of Heidi’s love of running, friends and family will gather Sunday morning for at the Cincinnati Open’s Inaugural 5K. Attendees are encouraged to wear something pink and look for “Heidi’s gang” signs to gather with others. Details in the link. Online registration has closed so call 513-651-0303 to register and use code HEIDI for a discount.

Help with Future Practical Needs
In the coming weeks, a SignUpGenius will also be created with non-food opportunities to support Ben and the children. These needs may include transportation, household assistance, school activities, yardwork, and other practical ways to help lighten the family’s load.

August 4th, 2026 Update

In Loving Memory of Heidi

It is with profound sadness that we share that Heidi passed away on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Heidi fought courageously and remained deeply loved throughout every step of this journey. She was humble, gracious, faith-filled, and far more comfortable encouraging others than receiving attention herself. Her life touched countless people, and her absence will be felt deeply by her family, friends, and community.

While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in Heidi’s faith and the hope that she is now at peace, fully healed, and in the presence of her Savior.

Heidi’s Celebration of Life will be at Crossroads Mason, 990 Reading Rd. Mason, OH. Monday, August 10 at 1:00pm. OSU Buckeye attire and colors are requested. A reception will follow until 3:00pm.

In the days and weeks ahead, this campaign will remain open as a way to continue surrounding Ben and their family with practical support and to ease financial burdens as they begin navigating life without Heidi.

Please continue to pray for Ben, Bryce, Bridget, Heidi’s family, and the many friends who loved her so deeply. Pray that they would feel God’s presence, receive strength for each day, and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Thank you for the extraordinary love you have already shown. Your prayers, generosity, messages, and willingness to stand beside this family have reminded them that they do not have to walk this road alone.

*Help Support Heidi & Her Family

If you know Heidi, you know she would never ask for help herself. She is humble, private, and always more comfortable encouraging others than being the center of attention. But right now, she and her family are walking through an incredibly difficult season, and we have the opportunity to come alongside them.

Heidi is currently receiving treatment at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus as she continues her courageous fight against Stage IV breast cancer. While she is receiving the excellent care she needs, home is more than two hours away, making this journey especially challenging for her husband, Ben, and their loved ones who are traveling back and forth to be by her side.

As you can imagine, the costs of frequent travel, fuel, meals, and overnight lodging add up quickly. We are creating this fundraiser to help ease some of those practical burdens so Heidi and her family can focus on what matters most—her care, her comfort, and time together.

If you are able, any financial gift—large or small—will go directly toward travel expenses, food, lodging, and other unexpected needs that arise during this season.

If you’re not in a position to give financially, we ask for something just as meaningful: your prayers.

Please pray for Heidi’s strength, peace, healing, wisdom for her medical team, and encouragement for Ben and their entire family. Heidi’s faith in Christ is an important part of who she is, and we know that every prayer offered on her behalf is a tremendous gift.
