This week, our East Boston FC Grade 11/12 Boys earned an incredible achievement: they qualified for the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC) by winning their BAYS division championship. This team is led by an alumni coach who participated in the program and once had the opportunity to attend MTOC himself because of the support of donations like yours!

MTOC brings together the top youth soccer teams from leagues across Massachusetts, giving players the opportunity to compete against some of the best teams in the state. While qualifying is a remarkable accomplishment, for Boston SCORES and East Boston FC, the tournament represents something much bigger than soccer.

East Boston FC is a part of Boston SCORES whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. East Boston FC is committed to serving the East Boston soccer community by providing holistic player development focused on building character, skill, and community. The club prioritizes positive youth development over competition, and aims to develop confident, well-rounded individuals. In addition to soccer, our high school players can access opportunities such as college visits, professional development workshops, community service, and employment pathways through Boston SCORES.

Boston SCORES ensures that every qualifying player can participate regardless of their family's financial circumstances by covering the full cost of the trip, including transportation, lodging, meals, tournament fees, and coach supervision throughout the weekend. The cost to send one team is approximately $8,000-10,000.
