The Story

Across our region, clinicians see it every day. A new mother whose pregnancy outcomes depend on nutrition she cannot consistently afford. A patient managing diabetes, heart disease, or kidney disease whose prescription should include fresh produce the pharmacy does not stock.

Nourished From the Ground Up is the food as medicine program we are building to close that gap. When a clinician identifies a patient whose health requires better food, that patient gets connected to fresh produce grown by farmers less than an hour from where they live, delivered through the regional food hub we have spent five years building.

Where Your Gift Goes

Our goal is $30,000 to complete the foundational build.

$50 welcomes a new household into the program with the care their referral deserves.

$100 supports sourcing coordination with farm partners preparing to supply the program.

$500 funds a week of foundational program development.

$1,000 underwrites a key piece of the logistics and delivery model.

$1,500 sponsors the clinician referral training and patient intake system, the front door of the program.

Infrastructure That Lasts

State and federal funding for local food programs ebbs and flows. We have lived through those cycles. What we are building with Nourished From the Ground Up is different. This is infrastructure that stays, a program that healthcare providers, their patients, and our farmers can trust to last.
