Our first goal: $25,000 by October 31.
Our year-end goal: $50,000 by December 31.

Since 2018, Burst Into Books has been working to remix the narrative around literacy by creating spaces where children, families, and communities can experience the joy, power, and freedom that come through reading.

What started as a small book club created to give children access to stories that reflected who they are has grown into so much more.

Today, Burst Into Books provides literacy programming, distributes books throughout Chicago, partners with schools and community organizations, hosts the annual Words of Wonder Literary Festival, and operates the BIB Community Arts Space in the heart of Roseland.

We have built something beautiful.

Now, we need your help strengthening the foundation underneath it.

Our Goal

We are launching a campaign to raise $50,000 in unrestricted support by December 31 to strengthen the infrastructure and sustainability of Burst Into Books.

Our first milestone is urgent:

Raise $25,000 by October 31.

Your investment will help BIB strengthen our financial and administrative systems, maintain organizational compliance, support essential operating expenses, build organizational capacity, and prepare for a stronger and more sustainable 2027.

This isn't just about keeping the doors open.

It's about making sure the organization behind the mission is as strong as the work happening in the community.

Will You Invest in BIB?

Every gift matters.

$25 helps us keep going.

$50 becomes part of the village sustaining this work.

$100 strengthens our operations.

$250 invests in the infrastructure behind our programs.

$500 becomes a significant investment in BIB's sustainability.

$1,000+ helps us build the foundation for our next chapter.

And we are actively seeking individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners willing to make major investments of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $25,000 or more.

You can also help without making a large gift.

Donate. Share this campaign. Send it to your employer. Introduce us to a business. Invite five friends to give. Ask your network to support us.

There are many ways to become part of this village.

Why Now?

Burst Into Books has always believed that access to literacy can transform lives.

But sustainable impact requires sustainable organizations.

As we prepare for 2027 and the next chapter of BIB, we're intentionally investing in stronger systems, financial infrastructure, organizational capacity, and long-term sustainability.

We don't simply want to survive another year.

We want to build an organization capable of serving Chicago families for generations.

Help us raise $25,000 by October 31 and $50,000 by December 31.

Together, we can continue Remixing the Narrative.
