Every Meal Has a Purpose

On August 10th, 86 Hunger Now begins an incredible new partnership that has the potential to rescue more than 20,000 untouched, freshly prepared banquet meals that would otherwise be thrown away.

Instead of ending up in a dumpster, these meals can provide hope, dignity, and nourishment to hardworking individuals and families throughout Brunswick and New Hanover Counties.

Unlike many traditional food programs, 86 Hunger Now focuses on the working poor—people who work every day but still struggle to put food on the table. Many earn just enough to disqualify for government assistance but still face impossible choices between paying rent, buying medicine, or feeding their families.

No one who works hard should have to go hungry.

This opportunity has arrived faster than we ever imagined.

To safely receive, package, freeze, and distribute these meals, we urgently need additional equipment and workspace.

Our goal is to raise $7,500 before our first pickup.
