At just four years old, River is facing challenges that no child should have to endure.

River has been diagnosed with TUBB4A leukodystrophy, a rare genetic condition that requires ongoing medical care, specialist appointments, therapies, and frequent hospital visits. While River continues to face these challenges with incredible strength, the reality is that caring for a medically complex child comes with significant emotional, physical, and financial strains for his family.

Many of River's appointments require traveling far from home, spending long days, weeks and even months in hospitals. Between transportation, lodging, meals, medical expenses, and time away from work, the costs quickly add up.

Like any parents, River's family would do absolutely anything for their son. And they do, every single day. But the financial load of navigating a rare, complex disease is not something they can carry alone. Good thing they don't have to!
