Recently, Keith Hanley received heartbreaking news: the intestinal cancer he was diagnosed with more than two years ago has spread to his liver. Because of the number and size of the tumors, surgery is not an option.

Keith is now undergoing specialized treatment through Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, with each treatment costing approximately $24,000. The financial burden is overwhelming, adding to the emotional and physical fight his family is already facing.

Keith has spent his life serving others. He is a retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran, answered the call as a first responder at Ground Zero following the September 11th attacks, and proudly served his community as a Scituate firefighter until cancer forced him to step away. For decades, Keith dedicated his life to protecting others. Today, he needs his community to stand with him.

Keith's greatest source of strength is his family. His wife, Kelly, has been by his side through every appointment and every difficult day. Their daughter, Brooke, is just 15 years old, and their son, Garrett, is 25. Together, they are facing a journey no family should have to face alone.
