HELP LAUNCH A MULTIPLYING GOSPEL MOVEMENT IN PANAMA

Henry & Ruth Herrera | David, Panama

Reaching people. Making disciples. Planting simple churches. Developing leaders. Transforming communities. Mobilizing believers to the nations.

Henry and Ruth Herrera, originally from Colombia and later living in the United States, sensed God calling them to step out in faith and serve in Panama.

With a passion for discipleship and mobilization, they are committed to sharing the Gospel, equipping believers, strengthening the local church, and helping others discover what it means to live on mission for Christ.

Their heart is not simply to reach people with the message of Jesus, but to make disciples who make disciples—and mobilize Latin American believers to participate in fulfilling the Great Commission.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”
— Matthew 28:19 NIV
— Mateo 28:19 NVI

THE MISSION HAS ALREADY BEGUN

Henry and Ruth are now serving in David, Panama, and God is already opening doors.

In a remarkably short time, they have developed meaningful relationships with neighbors and people throughout their community. They are learning the culture, building trust, serving families, praying with people, and intentionally sharing the Gospel.

One night, an unbelieving neighbor called them in the middle of the night because their daughter needed urgent medical attention. Henry and Ruth responded and helped the family get her to the hospital.

This is the kind of ministry they are pursuing: being present, building relationships, serving people, sharing Jesus, and making disciples.

Recently, someone photographed Henry and Ruth praying publicly with police officers outside a supermarket. The photo began circulating widely on Instagram.

They weren't trying to create a social-media moment. They were simply living on mission where God had placed them.

FROM NEW BELIEVERS TO MULTIPLYING DISCIPLES

Through Breath of Life International, Henry and Ruth are receiving ongoing training in disciple-making, simple church planting, community transformation, and the 3/3 discipleship model.

And they are already putting that training into practice.

After learning SOAPS—a simple method that teaches people how to engage Scripture and spiritually feed themselves—Henry began teaching it to young people. Now multiple young people are engaging God's Word through SOAPS every week.

This is the multiplication we want to see:

Missionaries make disciples.
Disciples make disciples.
Leaders develop leaders.
Simple churches plant simple churches.

The goal is not to build a ministry dependent on Henry and Ruth.

The goal is to help launch a movement that can continue multiplying beyond them.

WHY DAVID, PANAMA?

There is both a tremendous need and an extraordinary opportunity.

Many people in the communities Henry and Ruth are reaching have experienced expressions of Christianity focused more on money and institutional structures than on biblical discipleship, servant leadership, and community transformation.

This has left some people discouraged, skeptical, and disconnected from the church.

Henry and Ruth have an opportunity to model something different: biblical leadership centered on serving, discipleship centered on obeying Jesus, simple churches that can multiply, and Christian communities that care about both the spiritual and practical needs of their neighbors.

Most importantly, they want to help believers understand that every disciple has been called to participate in God's mission.

A SIMPLE, MULTIPLYING STRATEGY

Henry and Ruth's ministry focuses on six priorities:

REACH NEW PEOPLE
Build genuine relationships and share the Gospel with those who need Jesus.

MAKE DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES
Equip believers to follow Jesus and help others do the same.

PLANT MULTIPLYING SIMPLE CHURCHES
Establish biblical communities that can reproduce from neighborhood to neighborhood.

DEVELOP LOCAL LEADERS
Train ordinary believers through the reproducible 3/3 discipleship model.

TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES
Demonstrate the Gospel through practical service, compassion, relationships, and community development.

MOBILIZE BELIEVERS TO GLOBAL MISSION
Help Latin American believers recognize that they are not only recipients of mission—they can become senders and missionaries to the nations.

AYÚDANOS A IMPULSAR UN MOVIMIENTO MULTIPLICADOR DEL EVANGELIO EN PANAMÁ

Henry y Ruth Herrera | David, Panamá

Alcanzando personas. Haciendo discípulos. Plantando iglesias sencillas. Desarrollando líderes. Transformando comunidades.

Iglesias sencillas plantando iglesias sencillas.

PLANTAR IGLESIAS SENCILLAS MULTIPLICADORAS
