Introducing the 8th annual Hope From Coast to Coast 2024 presented by the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG)!

In 2016, Hope From Coast to Coast (HFC2C) was formed by DMAIG to provide an outlet for Penn State Alumni to fundraise for the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON). Since its inception, alumni have collectively run over 5,000 miles and donated over $120,000 to THON through HFC2C. This year, participants can once again get involved through our THON Weekend fitness meetups and the 46-Day virtual fitness challenge.

HFC2C Group Meet-ups

Since 2022, Hope From Coast to Coast has joined with fellow alumni to complete a 13.5 mile group run in State College (to symbolize the 135 miles between the children at Penn State Children's Hospital in Hershey and the Bryce Jordan Center). This year, HFC2C is expanding to include two additional group run/walk lengths: a 4K For Four Diamonds Fun Run, and a 0.46 Mile Walk.

If you will be in State College for THON Weekend, please consider joining our meet-ups to walk, run or jog any distance! Please complete this form to receive more information. There is no registration fee, but those completing 13.5 miles will be asked to fundraise a minimum of $135 to participate.

The 46-Day Challenge

During the 46-Day Challenge, HFC2C participants from around the world are challenged to get active daily for the 46 days leading up to THON Weekend! Each participant can define what "active" means to them. Once defined, you are challenged to post your progress in an Instagram or Facebook story each day while tagging DMAIG. The 46-day challenge begins on Monday, January 1, 2024.

You may participate in HFC2C by making a donation or by signing up to fundraise. And you may fundraise as a team or as an individual. So whether you are donating or fundraising, your participation makes a huge impact! All donations support the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) and will be donated on Sunday, February 18, 2024, during THON Weekend 2024.
