Cookin' for a Cause: Virtual Cooking Show
Wednesday, August 26th, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EDT
We are excited to present our first-ever Virtual Cooking Show featuring Chef Andrew Rivera-Myers on Aug. 26th! The Zoom link will be communicated at least 24 hours in advance of the event. We will open the “waiting room” doors at 6:50 pm so people can be ready for a prompt 7:00 pm start. You will hear words of welcome from our HFHGP team and meet Chef Andrew Rivera-Myers before he begins with the Cooking Show where he'll walk you through how to make the featured recipe: Caprese Sausage -- Roasted tomato and mozzarella sausage with an heirloom tomato salsa and balsamic reduction with a roasted sriracha ranch potato salad. Does that sound delicious or what?!! To top it off, Chef Rivera-Myers will offer beer & wine pairing advice to keep in mind when you make this dish for your home. This event is designed to be an opportunity to learn from a professional chef, and the duration of prep & cook times will be condensed. We suggest you sit back, relax and watch -- and plan to make the dish sometime later on your own. All the while knowing you're in the company of fellow Habitat supporters! The event will conclude with a time for Q&A with the Chef and Habitat team members. Take the chance to ask Andrew for gourmet pro tips, what to expect when Artisan Pig opens later this fall on Court St. in Plymouth, or more about the recipe. Looking for more details on Habitat's progress and volunteer needs at the Long Pond Rd construction site? Ask away! Did we mention? Door Prizes are up for grabs too!
