What if there’s more to discover in the ancient teachings we’ve inherited?

Maybe the teachings you grew up with have become harder to reconcile with what you know, what you've experienced, or what your heart tells you.

Maybe you've stepped away from organized religion, or found yourself at a distance from the beliefs that once shaped your spiritual life. And yet, something still calls to you. The longing for a deeper relationship with the Divine. The sense that there is something meaningful within these teachings that you've never quite been able to reach.

What if you don't have to choose between accepting everything you've been taught and walking away from it all?

What if there is another way to explore ancient wisdom, one that makes room for questions, honors your own experience, and invites you into a deeper, more personal relationship with the sacred?

An invitation to look deeper

Join Dr. Debra Scott for Wisdom of the High Heart, a workshop exploring ancient Judeo-Christian wisdom, the history behind the beliefs we inherit, and the deeper dimensions of the heart.

Drawing on historical research and spiritual exploration, we'll trace how religious beliefs developed over time, consider teachings and perspectives that may be less familiar, and explore the idea that wisdom is not simply something we learn with the mind. It is also something we come to recognize through the heart and within ourselves.

At the center of this exploration is the High Heart: a dimension of our spiritual nature associated with inner wisdom, compassion, and our connection to the creative source of life.

Ancient wisdom offers another intriguing possibility: that wisdom is a creative force inherent in us and in the world around us. When we become more attuned to this inner knowing and our connection with the sacred, we can begin to see new possibilities for how we live, what we create, and how we express our deeper sense of purpose.

We'll also explore gnosis, a Greek word for knowledge that points to a direct, intuitive inner knowing that goes beyond intellectual understanding. What might we discover when we make space for this kind of knowing and become more open to the wisdom already unfolding within us?

This is an opportunity to revisit familiar teachings with fresh eyes, discover a broader context for understanding them, and explore a more inward, heart-centered spiritual path that can bring greater meaning, connection, and joy to everyday life.

You don't need to arrive with a particular set of beliefs. You don't need to have all the answers. You simply need a willingness to explore.

Is this for you?

This workshop may resonate if:

You've drifted away from organized religion, or from beliefs that once shaped your spiritual life, but still feel drawn to the Divine or a deeper wisdom.
You've struggled to reconcile what you were taught with your own experiences, questions, or understanding of the world.
You sense that familiar teachings may hold deeper meanings than the interpretations you've encountered.
You're curious about the history of early Christianity and the spiritual ideas that shaped its development.
You want to explore your spirituality without being told what to believe or feeling that you must leave your past behind.
You're longing for a connection with the sacred that feels more personal, direct, and grounded in love and compassion.
You're curious about your own intuitive knowing and how a deeper connection with your inner wisdom might help you live with greater purpose, connection, and joy.

You can honor what has mattered to you, question what no longer fits, and remain open to what you have yet to discover.

What we'll explore

The roots of our beliefs

How did the interpretations of sacred texts and the decisions of early religious communities shape the beliefs passed down to us?

Wisdom beyond familiar interpretations

What can ancient Judeo-Christian teachings, historical research, and less familiar texts reveal about the spiritual wisdom that has been preserved, reinterpreted, or overlooked over time?

The Wisdom of the High Heart

What does it mean to experience the heart as more than a place of emotion, and how might it connect us with inner knowing, compassion, and the creative source of life?

Awakening our own knowing

What is gnosis, and how can intuitive inner knowing complement intellectual understanding as we discover our own relationship with the sacred and bring a deeper sense of purpose into our lives?

A more personal spiritual path

How can intellectual understanding and heart-centered awareness work together to help us discover our own relationship with the Divine?
